SOLUTIONS

Choose the solution path for the change your organisation needs to make.

MiCiS solutions combine specialist services when a result depends on systems, data, people, sites or providers working together. Start with what needs to improve, then explore the technology, connections and support required.

Scope, owners, dependencies and acceptance criteria are documented for each engagement.

WHEN SOLUTIONS OVERLAP

The useful answer may cross several solution paths—and the service layers underneath them.

A new site may need integration. An AI workflow may depend on Microsoft 365, data quality and system access. A managed environment may begin with a project or migration. MiCiS maps the connected operating path so the result does not fragment into isolated work packages.

  • ✓

Start with the operating outcome. Frame the work, site, user or result that matters before choosing technology.

  • ✓

Map the dependencies. Identify the systems, data, providers and service foundations that can change the outcome.

  • ✓

Name the next owner. Make approvals, evidence, handover and support responsibility visible at each stage.

COMMON STARTING SIGNALS

A solution-led review is useful when the outcome cannot be owned by one product or service alone.

These signals help identify a practical starting path. They are not fixed packages, and several may apply to the same change.

01

Data is copied between systems

Records, files or reports move through spreadsheets, email or repeated re-keying.

Likely start: Integration
02

Repeated work consumes time

People repeatedly search, read, classify, draft, summarise or chase the next action.

Likely start: AI + automation
03

A target date has many dependencies

A move, opening, fitout, refresh or cutover depends on carriers, trades and systems.

Likely start: Projects
04

Providers need one delivery path

Several vendors or internal teams affect one outcome, but their boundaries are unclear.

Likely start: Connected solution
05

Ownership does not fit the organisation

Internal capability, sites, operating hours or risk require a different service model.

Likely start: Organisation path
06

Change needs evidence and acceptance

The result must be tested, reconciled, approved, handed over and supported after launch.

Likely start: Discovery review

HOW SOLUTIONS ARE DELIVERED

A controlled path from a broad requirement to a supported result.

The exact work changes with the requirement, but the discipline remains consistent: define the outcome, map the environment, agree controls, verify the transition and retain ownership after handover.

CONNECTED SERVICE FOUNDATIONS

Solutions still depend on well-defined service foundations.

The solution path coordinates the change. The service foundations determine how users, platforms, networks, communications and site systems remain supported afterwards.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Questions to settle before a solution path is agreed.

A useful solution scope should make the outcome, boundaries, providers, evidence and post-delivery ownership easy to understand.

Start with the outcome, not the labelA useful first review makes the operating impact, systems, owners, constraints and target result visible before the final solution is chosen.
Solutions FAQ

Answers before a solution path is agreed

Outcome-led
01What is the difference between a service and a solution?

A service is a defined operating layer such as managed IT, Microsoft 365, connectivity, phones, web or electronic security. A solution begins with an outcome that may require several services, systems, work packages or providers to be designed and coordinated together.

02Do we need to know which solution applies before contacting MiCiS?

No. Describe the operating problem, desired outcome, affected people or sites, known systems and any target date. MiCiS can identify the most useful starting path and the dependencies that still need confirmation.

03Can one engagement include several solution paths?

Yes. A site project may include integration; an AI workflow may depend on system integration; and either may transition into a managed operating model. The scope, work packages, owners and acceptance criteria are documented so the paths remain clear.

04Can MiCiS work with existing vendors, carriers or internal teams?

Yes. MiCiS can lead a defined workstream or coordinate across existing providers and internal capability. Interfaces, access, escalation, approvals and responsibilities remain subject to the agreed scope and each provider's supported methods.

05How are scope, timing and cost established?

Discovery establishes the outcome, current environment, constraints, dependencies, work packages and evidence required. MiCiS can then document the delivery stages, commercial model and any assumptions or exclusions before work begins.

06How are security, privacy and regulated work handled?

Data access, credentials, permissions, information sensitivity, testing and retention are considered in the design. Electrical, cabling, security, carrier or other regulated activities remain subject to the applicable licences, contractors, approvals and project-specific boundaries.

07What happens after the solution is delivered?

The handover should identify documentation, credentials, owners, monitoring, support, change control, known exceptions and later improvements. Ongoing support may be delivered by MiCiS, an internal team or another provider according to the agreed operating model.

Have a change that crosses systems, sites or providers?

Describe the outcome, current environment, known constraints and target date. MiCiS will help identify the useful starting path, the dependencies to confirm and the next accountable stage.
